Company-owned life insurance (COLI) is enjoying renewed popularity in helping companies recruit highly skilled talent, reward high performing employees and retain key executives. Fundamentally, the concept is the same as when COLI was introduced over 50 years ago, but new factors, including innovative products and economic changes, are creating new opportunities for the benefits of COLI. Come listen to one of the industry’s leading COLI distributors discuss how their practice is addressing the new opportunity.
Charles (Chuck) Van Devander is the Senior Vice President of corporate-owned life insurance (COLI). He is responsible for designing and building Global Atlantic’s COLI program, which includes the creation of new products and recruiting new distributors. He also will oversee the relationship with the third-party administrator (TPA) selected to support Accordia Life’s COLI business.
Chuck has 22 years of experience in the financial industry. Prior to joining Global Atlantic in 2014, Chuck was Senior Vice President for AIG, where he was responsible for the creation of sales and marketing concepts for AIG life products and advanced markets. He also held senior management positions at Aviva USA and New York Life.
Chuck holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Arizona State University and a Master of Laws (LL.M) and Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from the University of Denver.
