About The Roosevelt
Rooted deep in history with its establishment dating back to the 1890s, the Roosevelt is a name that is recognized worldwide for its grandeur and luxury. Formerly known as the Fairmont, the hotel gained its present name due to its popularity during the Roosevelt years where it “became known as the beacon of luxury in the South.” Many legends have performed at the hotel including Louis Armstrong, Cab Calloway, Ray Charles and Jack Benny. After Hurricane Katrina devastated the area, The Roosevelt underwent a massive restoration and was reopened in 2009 with the all the grandiosity of old New Orleans and the modern amenities that exceed the standards of today’s luxury hotels.
