Financial Security Alliance
Forum 400 is a proud partner of the Financial Security Alliance. The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and Life Happens founded the Alliance to promote thought leadership, programs, and resources to increase financial literacy and encourage insurance and financial services careers.
Surveys indicate that many Americans fail to understand some of the basic principles of personal finance. This hinders their ability to create and stick to a budget, understand and protect themselves from financial risks, and prepare for retirement. Compounding the problem is a projected shortage of financial professionals to serve consumers’ needs. Nearly a third of advisors are expected to retire within 10 years, making it crucial for the industry to recruit, train, and nurture the next generation of professionals.
The Financial Security Alliance seeks to ensure consumers have access to financial education resources, deliver financial wellness courses in local communities, and elevate the insurance and financial services profession to attract top-notch talent and promote their career success.

Congratulations to the 2019 Life Lessons Scholarship Recipient
We're excited to honor Jenny Pride with an award of $5,000.
Jenny is attending Dixie State University with a major in exercise science. She then hopes to become a pediatric physical therapist. Read more about Jenny and why she is so deserving of this scholarship.
"At the age of three, I was bitten by a dog. This left scars on my face and hand, requiring extensive stitches. Living with my dad and grandmom, I never got to see my mom. As an alcoholic, she contracted yellow jaundice and, to my knowledge, did drugs. She passed away from her addiction. Two years later, my father died of a massive heart attack. I was completely heartbroken. I ended up bouncing between family homes until my sophomore year of high school, when I ended up with my aunt and uncle.
As neither of my parents had a financial support plan for me, my aunt and uncle have unexpectedly had to support me. Over the past two summers, I've been working at a local recreation center in order to save money for college. I'm excited to be this year's recipient of the Life Happens Award, and look forward to attending Dixie State University with this scholarship."
